    Title: Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) Transceiver
    Recommendation G.992.1 describes Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) Transceivers on a metallic twisted pair that allows high speed data transmission between the network operator end (ATU-C) and the customer end (ATU-R). Recommendation G.992.1 provides a variety of bearer channels in conjunction with one of three other services dependent on the environment: 1) ADSL transmission simultaneously on the same pair with voice (band) service, 2) ADSL transmission simultaneously on the same pair with G.961 (Appendix I or II) ISDN services, or 3) ADSL transmission on the same pair with voice-band transmission and with TCM-ISDN (G.961 Appendix III) in an adjcent pir. Systems allow approximately 6 Mbit/s downstream and approximately 640 kbit/s upstream data rates depending on the deployment and noise environment.

    Title : Asynchronous facsimile DCE control - Service class 1
    A Group 3 Facsimile Terminal may include a DTE and a Facsimile DCE. This Recommendation describes a Facsimile DCE that includes physical and data layer functions. The corresponding DTE must implement the T.30 session protocol, and any necessary higher layer functions, such as Recommendations T.4, T.6 or T.434.
    Amendment 1 contains a new Annex B: "Procedure for Service class 1 support of V.34 modems" which support the new features in Recommendation T.30.

    Title : Asynchronous facsimile DCE control - Service class 2
    A Group 3 Facsimile Terminal may include a DTE and a Facsimile DCE. This Recommendation describes a Facsimile DCE that includes physical, data link and session layer functions, including the Recommendation T.30 session protocol. The corresponding DTE must implement Recommendations T.4, T.6, T.434 or other higher layer functions.
    Amendment 1 includes extensions to support new features Recommendation T.30:
    - V.34 modems (new Annex C/T.32)
    - T.85 single-progression sequential image coding (DF, Table 21/T.32)
